Rancang Bangun Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Data Alumni Berbasis Web Dengan Fitur Tracer Study Untuk Lulusan AMIK Universal
Abstract
Alumni data management and tracer study are crucial aspects in higher education institutions to evaluate the quality of graduates and curriculum relevance. AMIK Universal, as one of the higher education institutions in Medan, still relies on manual methods using Google Forms and Microsoft Excel for alumni data collection, which results in unstructured data, duplicate entries, and difficulties in generating accurate reports. This study aims to design and build a web-based alumni data management information system with tracer study features to improve the quality of graduates at AMIK Universal. The system was developed using the Waterfall methodology, consisting of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system features alumni data management, digital tracer study questionnaire, alumni dashboard, admin dashboard, statistical reports, job vacancy information, and notifications. Data were collected through interviews with alumni and administrative staff, as well as observation of the existing alumni data management process. Testing was conducted using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with 30 respondents. The results show that the system successfully reduces alumni data collection time from 30 days to 7 days, improves data accuracy from 65% to 92%, and achieves a user satisfaction score of 4.38 (very good category). This study concludes that the web-based alumni management system with tracer study is effective in supporting the improvement of graduate quality and can be implemented in other higher education institutions.
