Pelatihan Penggunaan Sistem Monitoring Tugas Akhir Berbasis Web Pencegahan Joki Tugas Akhir Pada AMIK Universal

Abstract

The phenomenon of thesis writing services (joki tugas akhir) has become an increasingly concerning issue in higher education, particularly among Management Informatics students. The lack of understanding and skills in utilizing web-based monitoring systems is one of the factors that hinders the supervision process and strengthens the practice of academic dishonesty. This community service activity aims to provide training and mentoring on the use of a web-based thesis monitoring system as an effort to prevent thesis writing services among students at AMIK Universal. The activity was conducted in four stages: preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation, involving 30 participants consisting of 20 students and 10 lecturers. The training was delivered through presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on practice using the SIMONTA (Sistem Monitoring Tugas Akhir) application. The evaluation results showed that participants' understanding increased significantly, with an average pre-test score of 45.2 and a post-test score of 85.7, representing an 89.6% improvement. Participant satisfaction with the training reached 4.42 on a 5-point Likert scale (very good category). The activity also succeeded in increasing participants' awareness of the importance of academic integrity, with the pre-test score of 55.6 increasing to 88.9 in the post-test. This activity concludes that training and mentoring on the use of web-based monitoring systems are effective in preventing thesis writing services and can be implemented in other higher education institutions.
