Abstract

Student organization recruitment often faces challenges in objectivity of assessment and member placement according to competencies. Conventional methods that rely on subjective assessments often result in less than optimal placement of new members. This research develops a Decision Support System (DSS) for recruitment and position assignment of prospective student organization members using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Profile Matching methods. AHP is used for criteria weighting, while Profile Matching calculates competency suitability based on the gap against the ideal profile for each department. The system was developed using the Prototype methodology with web-based implementation. Testing using Black Box Testing showed 100% calculation accuracy. The conventional method resulted in a 75% suitability rate, while the proposed system achieved 80% with a relative improvement of 6.67%. This proves that the system is more accurate in providing placement recommendations for prospective members compared to conventional methods.
